White Button Mushrooms

I received a very interesting gift from my mother during the holidays and I have to say I was quite impressed with her selection.

She bought me a box of mushrooms… button mushrooms from a company called Mushroom Adventures. She had purchased them though my all time favorite online gardening store Gardeners.com .

All you have to do is prep the soil, and the mulch… keep in a moist cool dark place and within two weeks you get your first crop of mushrooms.

I was astonished when I saw the first set of shrooms popping through the soil. And even more excited when I was able to harvest them for the first time. Oh and did I mention, very very delicious!

A very neat gift to get indeed! Thanks Mom!
